I’m excited to announce the launch of the first-ever support group just for teens/adults with PANS, Autoimmune Encephalitis, Lyme, and other similar conditions!
It will take place on the second Saturday of every month at 2 PM Eastern Time (7 PM GMT). I chose this time of day so that people both on the West Coast and in Europe can join in.
Second Saturday Strength is about creating a safe space where people with these conditions can talk with others going through similar things.
There will be a theme each month, and I’ll start by giving a few words to get discussion going, and then everyone can join in. At the end, there will also be a time for people to bring up anything else they want to talk about. It’s going to be informal and conversational.
Resources and support for people who actually have PANS, rather than just parents of PANS patients, are almost non-existent. As an adult with PANS and the owner of one of the most-read blogs on the disorder, I realized I was in a position to change this. From the beginning, this blog’s mission has been to increase awareness of teen/adult PANS and be a source of hope for others in similar circumstances—so it was only natural to create Second Saturday Strength.
I will announce details on how to join the call a couple of days before in a blog post. Stay tuned!
